Palliative Care

Our palliative care support plans provide care for your loved one when their primary palliative caregiver is not present. We offer up to 24 hour care and our services act as a supplement to your existing palliative care program. Our caregivers provide in-home private-duty care for when you need help.

We also assist with treating the emotional, social, practical, and spiritual problems that illnesses can bring up. When the environment of our clients is bright, our clients see the world through a better light.

Our overall goal with palliative care is to help those with serious illnesses feel better, no matter the life expectancy. Our caregivers will help with common household chores, laundry, medications and other essential everyday tasks.

What is Palliative Care?

While it may be common to think that there is little difference between palliative and hospice care, these terms are traditionally thought of as different. Palliative care focuses on improving the quality of life by focusing on your loved one’s physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Both hospice and palliative in-home care do serve some similarities. They both aim to relieve discomfort and improve the quality of life. However, the main difference is that hospice care is reserved for those nearing the end of life. Palliative care is for those who are looking to improve the quality of their life regardless of their life expectancy.

At 1776, it is our goal to better our client’s lives through our specialized non-medical care and assistance.

1776’s Palliative Care Services

Our palliative at home care is specialized for those who are faced with a diagnosis for any life expectancy. Our caregiver’s philosophy is to provide supporting, soothing, and comforting care from a holistic view. It is our mission to restore energy and satisfaction with life while providing hope.

We support and supplement ongoing palliative care with in-home senior care services for when your primary palliative caregiver is not present. Our palliative care support plan will help with those clients requiring daily senior care.

With palliative care, your loved one will be cared for with a focus on this wider range of needs:

  • Physical care is addressed by understanding and acting on common signs, by providing non-medical care to comfort our clients as much as possible.

  • Emotional needs of our clients are addressed by delivering a compassionate approach supporting seniors that may be struggling with depression, loneliness, stress, or anxiety.

  • Social needs are addressed to assist loved ones with building relationships with family, friends, and providing those within our care with compassion and conversation.

  • Spiritual needs of our seniors are addressed by restoring hope to lives and providing comfort and relief from age-related difficulties and treating each and every client with respect and dignity.
