Our Process and Service

Our focus is always on the senior and their families at 1776 Senior Care. Every decision we make leads back to our focusing question of, “Does this bring joy to seniors and peace to their families?” We are constantly improving our processes and procedures for our clients and caregivers. Our goal is to provide the best care at all times.

Starting Care

When we receive an inquiry our first step is to reach out and find out how we can help. To discover the best course of care, one of our care managers will want to come out an complete a free in-home assessment. At this time, they will meet with the senior and any loved ones to discuss what is needed and how 1776 Senior Care can help. We can usually start care within a 24-hour period, but are willing to complete an assessment and schedule care to start at a much later date.

After our care manager completes the assessment, we will gather all the information and start matching a caregiver to the senior client. We make sure to take into account the skill level of the caregiver and the requirements of care for the senior. We never want to put a caregiver or client in an unsafe situation. Matching personalities is also important. On top of having someone to help with meals and medication reminders, a caregiver will provide companionship.

First Caregiver Visit

On the first day of care, a care manager will meet the caregiver at the senior’s residence and provide an introduction. Prior to starting the shift, the caregiver will have been provided instructions on the care the senior needs, so the introduction is more of an orientation to make sure the senior and caregiver are settled and ready for the first shift.

Supervisory Visits

Our care managers are very hands on and we focus on communication. We call each client at least once every two weeks to check-in and we will often perform drop-in visits while our caregivers are working to make sure the appropriate amount of care is always provided. Every ninety days a care manager will complete a state-required supervisory visit, which allows 1776 to re-assess the client and make sure the care level is sufficient. Of course, we change any care plan as needed.

Service

Providing safe and joyful care to seniors requires excellent customer service. Anytime a change in schedule is needed or a client has a request, all they need to do is call and our care managers will do their best to respond to the request as quickly and efficiently as possible.

One major advantage to working with an agency over a private caregiver is the assurance and stability of care. Our goal is to provide each senior client with a consistent caregiver.
